The weather outside is frightful…

We got hit last night with snow, snow, snow!  Winter is truly here.  The temperatures are icy cold (14* here at this very moment), and we’re expecting a balmy high of 19*.  The children, undeterred by temperature, got a chance to build their snow forts, make snow angels and otherwise celebrate each falling snowflake they could catch.

But the fire is so delightful…

As lovely as it was for them to enjoy their winter wonderland, I embraced my quiet evening indoors.  I am so grateful for warmth, both literal and that which comes with happy, peaceful times surrounded by family.

Let it snow, indeed!
