Mood Blanket Update
So here were are now, a bit over three months into the crochet Mood Blanket project, and I’m having a lot of fun! The colors have come together quite well. I’ve made the first day of every month in white instead of green, just for easier delineating, and the small squares make it easy to whip up at the end of the night.
I’m really enjoying the way the attached squares make their own little pattern as well. This wasn’t so easy to photograph over the white, so here it is against my dark dinner table. It’ll look even better once it’s blocked, but I’m pleased with the way it’s come out.
Another interesting thing is that it’s not going to be anywhere near as big as I thought it would be. I was certain that making over 350 squares would leave me with a blanket the size of my bedroom, but the small square , which is about 3”, comes out to only around 4 and a half feet or so, and that’s with strips of squares that are 15 across (so only 2 a month or so). I think this will make a perfect throw by the end of the year!
For those looking for the pattern, it’s called Polka Dot Motif and is a free Ravelry download. My previous Mood Blanket updates are here and here.
How about you? Anyone out there still working on their Mood Blanket?

I just love it. The green is awesome and allows for the polka dots to really pop.
Thanks! I am obsessed with that pea green color :)
