A Winter’s Morning

On a winter’s morning, we’re warming up here with hot cocoa, spicy soup and lots of homemade afghans piled on top of us.  I hear the weather is supposed to warm up by the end of the week (to 50, is that warm?).  And even though it’ll be “warm”, we’re supposed to get a good deal of rain, so we’ll likely be spending most of our time indoors.  With that in mind, we bundled up and took a crisp morning walk in the light snow.  The colorful leaves on the trees, which still retain their golden autumn colors contrast with the white blanket that coats them.  This is what it looks like when autumn meets winter for one last seasonal kiss.  I’ll take it.
