Welcome, Again.
I’m in the process of transferring over all the photos & re-uploading the posts from the old blog, but in the meantime, it’s as good a time as any to share everything I’ve been working on.
So, happy Valentine’s day everyone! In honor of today, I thought I’d share a project that I’ve been working on, Little Heart Scrapghan. I picked up some KnitPick’s Chroma over the holiday season and was trying to find just the right project for it. Not too long after that, this pattern showed up in the new patterns section on Ravelry, and it turned out to be a perfect fit.
The main change I made was from taking it down from a G hook to a D hook – since the hearts start from the inside and work their way out (as opposed to knitting, where the color would go from top to bottom), I wanted to make sure that there wasn’t so much variation in color that it overtook the actual shape of the heart to begin with. So it’s a bit smaller than the pattern recommends, but if I make a dozen or so a month, I’m hoping that it’ll be ready to go by next Valentine’s Day.
I’m planning on arranging them all in a rainbow sort of pattern starting at the top from pinks to the bottom of purples, with the spectrum in between once I’ve finished with all the hearts. It should be lovely. Rainbow hearts, what could be better, right?
